Kips Bay Decorator Show House Does Dallas

For nearly a half-century, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House has been a staple institution in the interior design industry. Since its debut in 1973, the Show House has exquisitely showcased carefully curated spaces for design enthusiasts nationwide to enjoy, thanks to hand-selected teams of acclaimed interior designers.

For those who may need a bit more background, here’s a brief history: Every year, a new A-list crew comes in to transform a luxury Manhattan home into an elegant exhibition, complete with fine furnishings, art + technology. Not only does Kips Bay unite top talent from all over the nation, but it has also been known to put rising design stars on the map. Seeing as the annual event became so lauded by not only the industry but also the general public, in 2018,
the organization made the call to expand outside of NYC and opened its very first satellite in West Palm Beach.

Now, up next for Kips Bay? You guessed it Dallas! This year, a selection of the nation’s most talented interior designers will head south to work their magic on Kips Bay’s newest satellite home, located right here in Big-D. The inaugural Kips Bay Show House Dallas is set to open its doors from September 24-October 24, and it should come as no surprise that the list of industry pros already involved is pretty stellar. Serving as chair for Kips Bay Dallas will be Dallas Design District-based designer, Jan Showers, with cabinetry brand founder and CEO Christopher Peacock, Veranda Magazine editor in chief Steele Marcoux, and designers Jean Liu and Chad Dorsey serving as vice-chairs. And, any designers who want in on the action   you are invited to APPLY NOW

We also mustn't forget to mention the charity component to Kips Bay, which we love. While the New York Show House raises money for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and other local charities, proceeds from the Dallas Show House will benefit local nonprofit Dwell With Dignity, an organization dedicated to creating soothing, inspiring homes for families struggling with homelessness and poverty.

So, for all of you spending shelter-in-place time searching for future events to look forward to, add this one to your list + calendar! And, stay tuned for more details on Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas.
