DDD Spotlight: Cantoni Trade

Since they opened their doors almost two years ago, the Cantoni Trade DDD showroom has been the most splendid addition to our community. Their exclusively curated collections coupled with their unparalleled customer service team makes Cantoni Trade a true standout in the A&D industry. Read on to learn more about this DDD showroom and why a home isn’t complete without a touch of Cantoni.

Tell us about the background of Cantoni Trade and how the Dallas Design District showroom came to be.
We opened up originally under the name Contempo Designs in 1990 but owned by Cantoni. Our previous location was not conducive to the lines we carry, and we could not display our kitchens, Aster Cucine, not to mention that we felt we were missing a clientele that our lines would appeal to. Some time back, several years ago, we started our search, but we could never find the right space until we discovered our current showroom at 960 Dragon Street. The minute we pulled up we knew it was right. We opened our doors in October 2018, which is also when we transitioned from Contempo Designs to Cantoni Trade.

What do you enjoy most about having a showroom in the Dallas Design District neighborhood?
Aside from the convenience for our clients of the showroom, we love the energy, the passion and the creative community that surrounds us in the DDD. The DDD is also very easy for our clients to work, showrooms are all close by and not to mention everything you can imagine is available here. There is always such a great buzz with activity and such a sense of community in the DDD. We love it.

What can visitors expect when they visit the Cantoni Trade showroom?
To be inspired by our incredible showroom that offers some of Italy’s most exclusive and the finest lines available. And of course, the professional, inviting and knowledgeable sales team that has over 100 years of combined experience within the A&D community, who truly understands our clients. We feel we have the best team around!

In your opinion, what sets Cantoni Trade apart from other local + national interior design showrooms?
From the lines we offer, to how we display them, the showroom is truly an inspiration. And, we have been doing business with Italian companies since 1984. In fact, we have a division of our company in Pesaro Italy, that handles all of our logistics to the states or other countries when needed. Also, our customer service cannot be matched. Our total commitment to our client's experience is what we pride ourselves on, and how we are able to seamlessly handle all phases of a project — from ordering to tracking and receiving, to even coordinating installations anywhere in the world.

If you had to describe Cantoni’s style in one word, what would it be?
Curated.

Tell us about some of your favorite new products or collections.
First, we want to mention the Henge Oxymoron dining table (pictured). The Oxymoron Table beautifully displays the artistry and passion Henge uses to create all of their pieces. The top is a Forest Fusion Wood that is cut and layered by hand to create a marbled effect. The sand casted brass legs are seamlessly integrated into the top for a stunning visual. There are also the Impatia Game Tables, which are unique pieces created from glass and stainless steel. Then, there’s the Palau Collection from Exteta, which consists of incredible fully upholstered, organically shaped pieces, taking the luxury of indoor living to the outdoors. Finally, we can't forget to mention Rimadesio, manufacturers of modular systems for the living area, bookcases, sliding doors, walk-in closets and a rich collection of accessories.

Finish this sentence: “No room is complete without ________________.”
