E.C. Dicken is looking for a showroom Sample Librarian to join our dynamic team. Working with the industry's best designers. The Sample Librarian is responsible for assisting the showroom regarding client and vendor interactions, inventory logistics, merchandising fabric, sample requests, and administrative or other showroom support tasks as needed.

 

Days/Hours:Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Type: Full Time/ In Person

Start Date: December 2nd, 2024

Pay: Salary

The position consists of:

· Assisting clients and pulling samples while maintaining a friendly and helpful exchange.

· Maintain, catalog, and organize sample library with new products and trends, replenishments, and sample requests.

· Communicating directly with vendors on product needs for the showroom, meetings for collections, and price/stock checks for clients.

· Meeting with the sales team to keep them informed on new items and other vendor information.

· Labeling new samples, mailing samples to target specific clients, and keeping track of sample logistics.

· Merchandising and creating fabric/wallpaper display schemes with any new product from vendors.

· Manage private leather labels by ordering, designing, and labeling samples.

· Bringing fresh ideas and systems that help manage the sample library and further expansion.

· Routine correspondence with clients in a prompt professional manner for any sampling pulling, restocking, or merchandising needs.

· Unloading new products and preparing them to be merchandised or stowed.

 

What we are looking for in a candidate for this position:

· An upbeat attitude with a positive and team player mentality

· Organization skills and attention to detail

· Ability to multitask and prioritize a variety of tasks

· Sales experience in the interior or retail space is a bonus

· Capable of lifting 25-30 lbs. if necessary

· Capable of being on their feet and moving around frequently to assist clients

· Some knowledge of wallpaper and fabric appreciated

· Merchandising skills appreciated but not required

· Ability to be flexible depending on each day’s type of tasks

· Provide support for the showroom team

· Positive attidute 

· Proficient in the following: Outlook Email, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Canva, and Avery Labels.
