About Us: Plein Air Atelier is an exciting new luxury multi-line showroom specializing in outdoor furniture, fabrics, and accessories for design professionals. After running her successful landscape design studio for 15+ years, founder, Melissa Gerstle’s passion for also furnishing her client’s outdoor spaces sprouted extensive research and discovery of new lines and vendor sources while noting a lack of local sources for new and innovative outdoor furniture brands.  With that, the concept of Plein Air Atelier was born – a  luxury outdoor furniture showroom featuring curated brands of furniture, fabrics, rugs, and accessories. Based in the heart of the design district and backed by Melissa's expertise and extensive knowledge of outdoor spaces, Plein Air Atelier is committed to offering exceptional customer service and serving the entire design marketplace with thoughtful, high-quality solutions that transform outdoor spaces into beautiful, livable environments. As we launch this fall, we are looking for a high-energy, self-starter to join our team as both an Inside and Outside Salesperson.

 

The Position: We are looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial salesperson who is passionate about luxury design and has the drive to help grow a brand-new business. This full-time position requires an individual who can wear multiple hats, ranging from showroom management to outside sales, while providing exceptional customer experiences and meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Job Description:

  • Full-time position based in the showroom with responsibilities for outside sales.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales targets by reaching out to clients and cultivating new relationships.
  • Tracking store expenses, preparing sales reports, and managing budgets.
  • Providing high-quality customer experiences and maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Overseeing daily showroom operations and ensuring the store adheres to company policies.
  • Maintaining the showroom's appearance and organization.
  • Creating and implementing processes to efficiently manage the showroom.
  • Making sales calls to interior designers and generating quotes and proposals.
  • Managing purchase orders, processing sales, and coordinating with vendors.
  • Arranging product shipments and working with freight companies.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of retail or wholesale sales experience.
  • Established relationships with the interior design community in Dallas.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Studio Designer Software experience is a plus.
  • Must have a car in order to make sales calls when necessary.
  • Experience in interior design is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

 

Base Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience, plus commission.
