Patrick Jones Gallery is proud to present Burgeoning Voices, an exhibition celebrating the rise of emerging contemporary artists whose careers are unfolding in real time. Featuring works by Arthur Brouthers, Paula Such, and Amauri Torezan, this show highlights the energy, innovation, and artistic evolution of three artists who are shaping the contemporary art landscape. Running from April 12th - May 31st, 2025, Burgeoning Voices serves as both a platform and a tribute to artists on the rise, capturing the momentum of their growing prominence.

About the Exhibition

A metaphor for creative growth, Burgeoning Voices reflects the moment when talent, vision, and recognition converge. The featured artists each bring a distinct perspective to the contemporary art world, pushing the boundaries of form, color, and storytelling. Their works showcase a fusion of technique and experimentation, embodying the evolution of an artist’s voice as it gains strength and resonance.

Featured Artists

• Arthur Brouthers: Inspired by abstract expressionism and optical art, his work explores intertwined themes of emotion, frequency, and patterns seen in the natural world. Most of his works are created using acrylic paint, spray paint, and ink with oversized brushes and homemade tools. His methods of manipulating paint are the result of many years of experimentation with multiple colors in single paint strokes and swipes.  This unconventional process reflects our limited control over nature, and pulls the viewer in through broad gestures and fluid layers of pigment.
  
  

• Paula Such: Her work has always been realistic and figurative, but during the pandemic she spent her free time trying to ease her mind by drawing lines with markers on paper, and these lines have become the intricate and meditative drawings that we see today. This type of art is called intuitive drawing, she never knows how the piece is going to look at the end, because the focus goes to feeling every single line connect with another, flowing with the movement. The abstract drawings adapt to many different spaces, from home to offices, thanks to their organic feel and modern look.

• Amauri Torezan: Rooted in the rich legacy of modernist abstraction, Torezan has developed a unique visual language using elements of geometry and optical illusion to create fresh and dynamic works of art. In his work, shapes and lines seem to float around each other as if they were suspended in space. Layers of contrasting colors enhance the exuberant depth effect, evoking a sense of movement and vibrancy.

Their works capture the essence of artistic momentum—where experimentation, refinement, and breakthrough moments coalesce into something truly remarkable.
