About Ludowici

Ludowici, an industry and world-wide leader in manufacturing and supplying architectural terra cotta building products—including terra cotta roof tile, terra cotta wall cladding, terra cotta wall tiles, and interior siding/decorative beams and flooring partner products (terra cotta, stone, and wood)—is in search for candidates that meet the criteria outlined below.

Objective

To hire a star performer, with an entrepreneurial spirit, to develop, promote and sell company/partner’s flooring and interior products offering in territory noted below in a manner to meet company defined sales and business goals. The position will service the specified/defined territory and will assist in supporting bordering territories, sales reps and customers (when applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to build, manage and grow territory sales for flooring and interior building products
  • Utilize Ludowici’s Dallas Design Center Showroom to assist in growing customer base and sales revenue for flooring and interior building products
  • Grow the territory/market by successfully developing and implementing strategic business sales plan for flooring and interior products
  • Accurately and efficiently manage quote program, sample program and ordering of flooring/interior materials for customers and other company sales representatives
  • Create a local territory marketing plan/program for all products in conjunction with V.P of Sales & Marketing, National Market Manager and Marketing Manager – while staying within company budget plans
  • Work with showroom manager and VP of Sales & Marketing to effectively display all flooring/interior products as needed to generate targeted/budgeted revenue. Displays must be consistent with current design center aesthetics.
  • Must have ability to prepare budgets, quotes, proposals and all necessary order paperwork for customers to purchase materials
  • Must have ability to coordinate and host events and presentations promoting company flooring/interior products
  • Must have impeccable approach and track record for all aspects of customer service
  • Promotion of all company products to architectural and interior design community through CEU lunch presentations, sales calls and trade show/seminar exhibitions
  • Develop architectural and interior design specifications based/designed around building products offered by company
  • Develop and build key relationships with accounts such as high-end home builders, architects, interior designers, installers, and contractors that can utilize company products on their projects
  • See all projects through entire budget, design, bid and construction phases
  • Locate and develop relationship/partnership with installation contractors capable of competitively installing company products
  • Develop architectural and interior design specifications with architects/designers based within territory who are designing local, out of territory and even international projects
  • Ability to accurately report territory pipeline and assist in development of regular sales forecasts/budgets in conjunction with National Market Manager and/or VP of Sales & Marketing
  • Learn all product price structures for company/partner products to assist in quickly and accurately providing material budgets/quotes
  • Be a strong team player to all company employees

Experience Requirements

  • Degree in marketing and/or business preferred, degree in architecture or interior design would also be considered
  • Ability to demonstrate strong relationships (currently in place) with substantial amount of the top territory architectural and interior design firms – this is a must
  • Three to five plus years of successful outside architectural product sales and promotion in the defined territory
  • Successful track record of increasing sales and business development – preferably in construction building materials (ideally with wood and stone flooring sales experience)
  • Must be self-motivated, self-sufficient and goal oriented
  • Must have ability to develop plan to meet series of goals related to: sales, presentations, sample requests, specifications, quotes and contractor/installation partners
  • Must have ability to create and deliver very effective product presentations to individuals and groups

  • Reports To: Vice President of Sales & Marketing
  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Benefits: Health, dental, vision, 401K, paid vacation, paid holidays, sales commission plan and company vehicle
  • Travel: Required, regular travel throughout sales territory (Texas)
