About Simon Waranch:
Over the last five years, Simon Waranch has worked as a part time assistant and a teacher at Dallas Glass Art. After taking a number of glass blowing classes and showing significant potential, Simon was asked to become an apprentice. He recently graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Downtown Dallas, Texas and is now in his freshman year at the Detroit College for Creative Studies.
Simon began experimenting with drawing and painting at a very young age. His art was quickly recognized as unique, and local galleries requested to exhibit his abstract works. His colorful pieces appeared in a number of adult curated shows. It was during a trip to Murano, Italy where Simon was introduced to glass blowing. Upon his return to Dallas, he was eager to begin glassblowing lessons.
To further expand his skills, Simon has taken glassblowing classes at Pittsburgh Glass Art and the famed Corning Museum of Glass. When he is not in class, he works on his personal work, which has been shown in a variety of venues. Simon has an active commission business and his works are in a number of notable private and commercial collections.
