No matter what kind of event you're hosting, you can find plenty of venues to choose from in the Dallas Design District. With beautiful views of Downtown Dallas and a cool, urban location, the Design District has what it takes to get everyone talking about your wedding, holiday party or other celebration for years to come.
We spoke with Lance Hudes from the DDD’s newest event venue, Howell and Dragon, to get a taste of what it's like to host your next event in the Design District.
Tell us a little about the Howell and Dragon space.
Howell and Dragon is the newest event venue in the Design District. Formerly known as the Chandelier Room, Howell and Dragon has been totally redesigned with a new look we call "romantic industrial." With vintage brick in the cocktail area and distressed white brick in the ballroom, the venue has an elegant look and feel and is suitable for many uses.
The venue has brick walls throughout, magnificent chandeliers, elegant accent lighting, a modern bar and chic furniture. It holds up to 300 people with a separate pre-function/cocktail area, ballroom, private groom’s suite and bridal salon as well as an outdoor patio.
What sorts of events are typically held at Howell and Dragon?
Howell and Dragon is an ideal venue for weddings, corporate events, fundraising galas, sweet sixteens, quinceaneras, mitzvahs, fashion shows and other events.
Other than being an event space, does Howell and Dragon provide any additional offerings or services?
