Showroom Associate

The Showroom Associate will lead and maintain full operational support for the Dahlgren Duck Dallas Showroom. This position is responsible for providing full-spectrum service that ensures overall client satisfaction, drives sales, and maximizes profitability. This contributor will be a highly driven, meticulously organized, self-starting and conscientious team player who is well-versed at managing relations and thinking ahead in the interest of growth and efficiency.

General Information

• Title: Showroom Associate

• Location: Dahlgren Duck Showroom in Dallas Design District

• Reports to: Vice President - Luxury Division

Tasks

• Responsible for accepting and scheduling client appointments and maintaining office calendar.

• Maintain proficiency in vendor products, processes and be able to educate clients on all product offerings.

• Process client quotes, orders and monitor transactions through delivery.

• Handle client outreach through digital marketing and communication.

• Identify, qualify, and secure new business development opportunities.

• Responsible for overseeing client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue.

• Build rapport with clients and effectively develop strong relations and trust.

• Experience with Lighting, strongly prefered.

• Maintain a holistic understanding of client accounts to identify potential opportunities.

• Ensure that client concerns are dealt with in an expeditious manner and escalate necessary communications to the leadership team.

• Optimize revenue and profitability on existing accounts by identifying and proposing additional product solutions and services that will enhance service and maximize profitability.

• Provide consistent and effective communication to management, including regular input on all account activity, client forecast, growth opportunities and client issues.

• Review all major deliverables (i.e. client presentations, client pricing, catalogs, samples, etc.) to ensure accuracy, quality standards, margin requirements and client expectations are met.

• Assist with accounting functions to complete client transactions such as accounts payable, receivables and purchase order funding.

• Maintain proficiency with Company Systems including, but not limited to, Netsuite, NuOrder and Office365.

• Responsible for all aspects of showroom displays including, but not limited to showroom cleanliness, polishing, rotating items on display, and other duties as assigned.

• Maintain real-time inventory of all samples at the Dallas Showroom.

• Contribute information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products, sourcing new vendors, and relaying reactions from clients.

• Facilitate replenishment orders for any office supplies as needed.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of Account or Customer Management experience

• Proven Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships

• Undergraduate degree

Work Conditions

• Work hours – 9am – 3pm CST Monday thru Friday (schedule determined based on weekly appointments and flexible as deemed necessary)
