Decorate with Pantone’s 2022 Color of the Year: Very Peri

For those who are newer around here, every year Pantone chooses a Color of the Year, and every year we dish on how best to incorporate the chosen color into your home. For 2022, Pantone's selection is Very Peri, a periwinkle blue hue with violet-red undertones that are meant to encourage personal inventiveness + creativity in the new year. And, even more notably, for the first time in the history of the Pantone Color of the Year, Very Peri was created specifically for the color program to reflect the transition taking place in our global culture. Now, as promised, here are our tips on how to work this innovative color into your space.

Fine Art

It's no secret that the Dallas Design District is an epicenter of the gallery scene in the DFW Metroplex and is therefore home to many must-see works of art. From historic paintings to contemporary sculptures, there's really nothing you cannot source from one of our many art galleries. For the contemporary art aficionado, ALG Collective (pictured piece is by ALG Collective resident artist Melissa Ellis) and Galleri Urbane are both home to a variety of innovative and non-traditional pieces that feature Very Peri. Whether it's acrylic wall pieces or paintings on canvas, you're sure to find something special. For those who gravitate more towards traditional art, take a trip to Christopher Martin Gallery or Laura Rathe Fine Art where you'll find a plethora of sculptures, wall art, and photography, all of which beautifully encompasses the 2022 color of the year.

Floors + Furnishings


Decorating with art pieces that incorporate the color of the year will absolutely add invigoration to any space. However, if you prefer to go bigger and bolder with Very Peri, consider fusing it into your floors or furnishings. Should you have a deep appreciation for artistry + craftsmanship, Ann Sacks is the showroom for you. Accents + Accessories


Should you abide by the "less is more" philosophy, there are plenty of ways to still add subtle dashes of color throughout your space in the form of accents and accessories.  For lighting, upholstery case goods, and luxury decor, look to either Allan Knight & Associates or Bungalow 5 as both are known for their classically chic pieces.
