How long has Talebi Rugs been in the Dallas Design District? Why was the District chosen as the home for Talebi?
Talebi Rugs is celebrating over 35 years in the DDD. Our commitment to the DDD and its partners has made us a trusted source for fine handmade rugs. The District has been our home for many years, and we will continue to be the landmark for our company’s legacy.
Tell us about the rug designs that can be found at Talebi.
Our Antique Collection consists of rare designs descending from late Persia, Europe, Turkey, India and Russia. Our Reproduction Collection includes a vast selection of one-of-a-kind designs including traditional and transitional patterns. We are also the No.1 source for custom rugs, and we can fabricate any pattern our customers request.
How do you source the rugs found in your Antique Collection?
Our Antique Collection is purchased at notable estate sales and auctions, which are incredibly rare.
Other than an exquisite collection, what other services does Talebi provide?
At Talebi Rugs, we also provide professional cleaning and repair services to our clients. It is very important to trust only trained experts when it comes to your investments. Negligent handling of your rug can lead to a decrease in its value.
As the focal point in many rooms, a rug can really set the tone for a design! What goes into choosing the right rug?
When choosing the perfect rug, one needs to evaluate all the colors that will be used in the decor, and also the lighting in the space. These two important factors should not be disregarded when looking for the right rug.
Any favorite rugs at the moment?
I always have a favorite rug! My current favorite is rug #10229, a 10'x13' Mamlouk design. This fine piece is made from hand-spun New Zealand vegetable dyed wool, and is 100-percent child-labor free.
You recently completed a huge project at the former Crespi Hicks Estate! Tell us a little about that project.
We had the pleasure of working with Tanya Taylor, the lead designer, to find the absolute perfect rugs for the estate. Working together was like precise clockwork.
Any upcoming projects you're looking forward to?
We are currently working on two large projects: Residences at the Stoneleigh and the Statler Hotel. These are two very large projects that we are honored to be a part of!
