Did you know there are 30+ galleries to be found in the DDD? While we can’t cover every single one, here’s a small sampling of what you'll see when you go gallery-hopping in the Design District.

Since 1978, Dallas Contemporary has presented challenging ideas from regional, national and even international artists through its non-collecting and non-profit gallery. With a variety of educational programs, exhibits and monthly free public tours, you won't want to leave Dallas Contemporary off your list of DDD galleries to visit.

Christopher Martin
American artist Christopher Martin opened his first gallery in Dallas and has gone on to open spaces in Aspen and Santa Fe. Known for painting "in reverse" (from foreground to background), he started working with acrylic paint on acrylic and canvas. In 2006, he started working in a third medium: metallic prints. The gallery features works by Martin as well as several other artists’ sculptures in stone, glass, wood and metal.

Visitors to LMB Art Glass will find unique, hand-blown pieces by artists from all over the country, from jewelry to vases to free-form focal pieces. Owner Brooke Weidenbaker inherited her mother’s love of glass art and brought it to Dallas right in the heart of the Design District. If you’re not already a glass art lover, you will be after walking through this gallery.

Benson-Cobb
Carol Benson-Cobb, a self-taught abstract artist and entrepreneur, opened her gallery in the DDD in 2014. There you’ll find original pieces, mixed media art and reproductions with a focus on custom colorization. You can also see her textile collection — each piece of which is digitally printed on imported Belgian linen and encased in an acrylic box — as well as wallcoverings as art installations.

Beaudry Gallery
Mary Beaudry has been a presence in the Dallas art scene for more than 25 years. Get a taste of cutting edge up-and-coming artists and established veterans at her Beaudry Gallery. You’ll enjoy taking in (and maybe even taking home) the gallery’s one-of-a-kind pieces, which range in style from abstract to stylized realism.
