Did you know that some of the same photographs in PDNB Gallery’s significant current exhibition, Portraits of Frida, are also included in the extraordinary exhibition at the Dallas Museum of Art, Frida: Beyond the Myth?
Nickolas Muray’s photographs of Frida on the White Bench,1939, his iconic Frida with Magenta Rebozo, 1939, Frida in Blue Silk Dress, 1939, Frida in New York, 1946 are all featured in the DMA’s show and at PDNB Gallery! Also, Lucienne Bloch’s photograph, Frida in front of the Unfinished Unity Panel, 1933, is also in both exhibitions. After visiting the Dallas Museum of Art, come by PDNB Gallery to see more photographs of Frida Kahlo that are not included in the DMA show. And these are all for sale. All photographs come from the Nickolas Muray and Lucienne Bloch Estates.
On September 21, 2024, PDNB Gallery will be participating in the Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas (CADD) Gallery Walk. From noon – 5 pm we will be celebrating Frida Kahlo with Frida-Rita’s, a twist on the margarita!
Also in the gallery, a retrospective of photographs by Al Satterwhite including images of the journalist, Hunter S. Thompson, the GOAT, Muhammad Ali, and musician, Stevie Wonder.
