It's finally October! The weather's cooling down (by Texas standards), there are decorative gourds as far as the eye can see, and you’ve still got a month before the holiday festivities begin and family and friends start pouring into town.

D Home Wine Walk
Drink delicious wine paired with standout food from some of the DDD’s restaurants while taking in some of the top design trends offered by the Design District’s showrooms on October 30. Paul Manes: Desire
Internationally celebrated Texas artist Paul Manes is back at the Cris Worley Fine Arts gallery with his exhibition Desire, featuring new contemporary paintings in oil on canvas. The show runs until November 10. Read more about Manes and Desire here.
Lisa Schulte: The Significance of Light
Samuel Lynne Galleries presents Lisa Schulte’s new exhibit, The Significance of Light, that runs until November 10 and kicks off with an opening reception on October 20. Known as “The Neon Queen” due to her extensive work with the medium, Schulte is known for making what might normally be cold and rigid seem warm and inviting. From October 23 to 25 at various showrooms across the DDD, designers can fulfill their continuing education requirements for Registered Interior Designers at the 10th Annual Inspire! Come enjoy a week’s worth of keynote speakers, book signings, cocktails and more at Texas Design Week from October 22 to 25. PaperCity Design Awards
The deadline has passed, but we’d be remiss in not mentioning the PaperCity Design Awards. Winners for the best residential interior design, restaurant and gallery design, landscape design and more will be announced at a cocktail event on October 23.
