Do you have a favorite time of the year? We recently asked the people behind some of the shops and showrooms of the Dallas Design District about theirs. The overwhelming answer? The most wonderful time of the year in the DDD is undoubtedly the fall.
Made Goods
Kelly Ferniza of Made Goods has a lot she loves about the time of year when the leaves start turning.
"Fall has perfect weather with slightly warm days and cool nights," she says. "It's the design industry’s busy season, and everyone's gearing up for the holidays. Our new fall collection is released. Time for piñon wood and cozy fires to curl up next to, with flannels and fluffy blankets on hand."
Pettigrew Luxury Furnishings
Score another one for autumn and the busy season.
Huong says, “Here at Pettigrew Luxury Furnishings, fall is our favorite time of year. It is the beginning of cooler weather and the excitement of the upcoming holidays. It is a busy time and people are preparing their home for an onslaught of visitors.
We love being able to help our clients select and source the perfect thing to add or replace. Whether it is new upholstery, a sparkling chandelier or some accessories, Pettigrew offers readily available treasures ready to take home or have delivered."
Baker Interiors Group
Fall means big changes, both inside and out, for the team at Baker Interiors Group, according to Chelsea Banford.
"Our favorite time of the year here at Baker is the fall season! Not only are the leaves changing, but our showroom is changing right along with it. A new season means new and exciting pieces coming to our showroom floor. This fall we are showing the new Thomas Pheasant collection. We are ready to welcome in the new and invite you to stop in and share the excitement!"
The Bright Group
Yvette Gonzalez of The Bright Group says October is her favorite because: “Great weather, folks in good moods, patio lunches and dinners at the Decorative Center are a must. After-work events pick up momentum and the holiday season is around the corner."
Bungalow 5
Chalk another one up for fall, but throw in a dash of the holidays for good measure.
Tyler Sweatman of Bungalow 5 says, “I love the warm rich colors and textiles the fall season brings. As the holidays get underway, the hustle and bustle of the DDD and positive energy of both clients and businesses in the community is always an exciting time. It’s a season of reflection, which is both refreshing and inspiring.”
As temperatures fall and holiday excitement rises, there’s no doubt that the DDD community is ready to welcome you. This fall, be sure to make time to visit the shops and showrooms at the Dallas Design District.
