Your DDD Guide: Get Fit in the Dallas Design District

You’ve shopped, wined and dined your way through the Dallas Design District. But did you know you can also get your heart pumping at one of the District's many fitness spots? Whether you’re in the mood to stretch or sweat your way to a happier, healthier body, you’ll find it here.

Yoga

Stretch your way to health with a yoga class at BalancingEnergy Health & Yoga Center. You can choose one of their Vinyasa classes, a class that works the core, or a slightly shorter lunchtime class for a mid-day stretch. You can also sign up for one of their holistic nutrition programs, or book a session in one of the two infrared saunas.

Pilates

Power up your "powerhouse" — that's Pilates for the center of your body — with private Pilates lessons at Dallas Pilates. Work your way through the three levels (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced) to sculpt and shape a long, lean physique and build core strength. Creator Joseph Pilates once said, “In 10 sessions, you’ll feel the difference. In 20 you’ll see the difference. And in 30, you’ll have a new body.” So make sure you’re ready for that new body!

Cardio

Dance your way over to GRIT Fitness, where founder Brit Rettig has “designed and curated a set of original, music-driven group fitness classes” that are both fun and fat-burning. Or, if you’ve been dying to join the CrossFit crowd, head on over to Tiger’s Den CrossFit. After a few weeks of CrossFit and weight lifting classes, you’ll be ready for anything!

A class for everyone

For you nature lovers, make sure you check out one of the many fitness classes offered at the Trinity River’s Continental Avenue Bridge. There’s a Camp Gladiator bootcamp, Zumba classes, and yoga — something for everyone. Speaking of something for everyone, The Barre Code has a number of cardio, strength and restorative classes to match any fitness level.

As you can see, getting fit at the Dallas Design District is both fun and easy. You can even make a whole day of it! Lunch, a workout, shopping, drinks and dinner all make for the perfect day in the DDD.
