What the DDD is Thankful for this Season

Gratitude is a great reason for every season. But Thanksgiving is the perfect reminder that the more we acknowledge everything and everyone we're appreciative of, the happier we feel.

So we just wanted to take a moment to share how incredibly thankful we are.

Play

We get to have a lot of fun here in the Dallas Design District. From bowling at Bowlounge to chess and bocce ball at the Continental Bridge, there’s always something to keep us — and our fellow Dallasites — active. Learning can be a form of play, too, so we’re thankful for opportunities to expand our skill sets like the glassblowing workshops at Dallas Glass Art and the cooking classes at The Cookery.

Nourish

And thank goodness we can keep our bellies full at all the amazing dining options available in the Dallas Design District. No matter your personal preference, there's something here to satisfy every palate. We love starting our day with coffee and pastries from Ascension. Tacos for lunch from Taco Stop and after-work drinks at The Meddlesome Moth make each day a little special. For dinner, we have our choice of fare from around the world from Thai and Mexican to good old-fashioned Southern comfort food.

Soul and Body

No life is complete without art and culture. Sure, you could survive without it, but why would you want to? Thankfully, the Dallas Design District is chock-full of art and culture. We're so grateful for the numerous art galleries that call the area home, from the Conduit Gallery to Cris Worley Fine Art, to Carneal Simmons Contemporary Art and the Joel Cooner Gallery. With our souls fed, we also need a place to keep our bodies strong. That's why we're also grateful for the saunas and stretching at Balancing Energy Health and Yoga Center, as well as the pilates and barre classes at Dallas Pilates and The Barre Code.

Design

And — of course — we couldn’t leave out all of the DDD's amazing showrooms and design centers. We are the Dallas Design District, after all. The showrooms are great places to get ideas and gather inspiration anytime we feel the need to refresh our home and office spaces. We could marvel all day at the lovely furniture and patterns at places like Guggenhome and the McGannon Showroom. And we love being able to visit fun shops carrying unique styles and accessories like Again & Again and Uncommon Market.

Our cup truly runneth over at the Dallas Design District. And we haven't even mentioned the brewery tours at Community Beer Company yet!

We can’t begin to express how thankful we are for all the shops, restaurants, designers and showrooms here in the DDD. And we’ll do our best to make sure share our gratitude with you all year long!
