Spend a Fabulous Fall in the Dallas Design District

Fall is here, and you know what that means: It's time to start munching on pumpkin spice everything while we wait for the fall weather to finally arrive.

While you’re waiting for those cooler temps to hit the Dallas area, head on down to the Design District for some fabulous fall fun.

Wine, Dine and Design

Step out for a good cause with your fellow wine lovers for the Design Center Wine Walk on Tuesday, October 10. Enjoy wine pairings with standout food from some of the DDD’s best dining establishments while strolling through some of the district’s designer showrooms.

All proceeds from ticket sales go to Dwell with Dignity, a nonprofit organization dedicated to taking families from homelessness and poverty to self-sufficiency. By furnishing the families’ homes complete with food in the pantry, Dwell with Dignity helps these families thrive.

Dallas True Crime History

Stop by the PDNB Gallery on Saturday, October 14 for one of two free screenings of “American Experience: Bonnie & Clyde.” The 54-minute documentary follows the couple’s deadly two-year crime spree that both started and ended in Dallas. And don’t forget to check out the accompanying exhibit, "Bonnie & Clyde: The End," featuring photographs from the personal collection of the gallery’s director.

Bikes and Beers

Drink a six-pack while working on your six-pack? Join the 6-Pack Trail bike cruise for a leisurely cycle along the trails of the Trinity River with stops at local breweries along the way, including the DDD’s Texas Ale Project and Community Beer Company. There’s only room for 50 people on these bike cruises, so be sure to lock down your spot before it’s too late. October cruises are scheduled for Saturday, October 14 and Saturday, October 28.

Awards Season

It’s that time again — time for the annual Dallas PaperCity Design Awards. Dallas-area interior designers and architects compete for the chance to win an award for the hard work they put in all year. Winners will be announced at the invitation-only ceremony on Wednesday, November 1 and will be featured in the January 2018 issue of PaperCity.

Class is in Session

Just cause you aren’t in school anymore doesn’t mean the learning has to stop. There are plenty of places in the Dallas Design District that will broaden your horizons both physically and mentally. Strengthen your body at Balancing Energy Health & Yoga Center or Dallas Pilates. Expand your skills at Dallas Glass Art or The Cookery.

As things wind down from the craziness of summer, make sure you don’t forget to skip the fall fun. And the Dallas Design District is the perfect place to do just that. Along with the events mentioned above, all of our restaurants and showrooms are also ready and waiting for you.
