Discover Your Design District

Back to School with the Dallas Design District

Just like that, the end of summer is on the horizon and it’s already time to get ready to go back to school.

We know all you college students are gearing up to get back to work, but you can still soak up the last days of summer at the Dallas Design District before you’re lost in a haze of studying, football games and parties.

It’s easy to spend a full day eating your way through the Dallas Design District. Start off at Ascension Coffee for an iced latte and some avocado toast to fuel up for your next stop. Grab a taco at Taco Stop for lunch and a cool mid-day treat at Pop Star Handcrafted Popsicles.

Finally, you’d be remiss not to stop by CultureMap’s Tastemaker Best New Restaurant winner Pie Tap Pizza Workshop + Bar for a pizza pie and a glass of pinot during happy hour.

If you can stand the heat, hang out at the Continental Bridge. Relax, play chess or sample the food truck fare while exploring the Trinity River. Then enjoy a family-friendly night of bowling and games with Bowlounge's vintage lanes and retro video games. And you can show off your smarts every Wednesday night at Trivia @ the Brewery at the Community Beer Co.

Make sure you load up on Design District goodies for your dorm room or apartment. Stand out from the crowd with a stop by Uncommon Market and Uncommon Lighting for their one-of-a-kind collections. And don’t forget to stock up on pillows and bedding from The Pillow Bar.

With classes and studying and tests, it’s easy to forget about self-care days, so get one in while you can! Start off with a yoga class and a sauna session at Balancing Energy Health & Yoga Center. Then go get your balayage and blowout game on at SCENE Salon. Finally, schedule a photo session at Jin Kim Studio and leave your family with a gift to remember you by (since you’re probably about to disappear for the school year).

There are precious few hours of summer left, so make the most of them at the Dallas Design District. We'll see you here!
