Remember the dumpster pool? Last year the Dallas Contemporary and the Design District Market partnered up to bring the Design District a new kind of party complete with drinks, shopping and, of course, a dumpster pool, and this year they're at it again. August 23rd from 12pm - 8pm clear your schedules for the Design District Market at the Dallas Contemporary. You know the Design District Market, and you know the Dallas Contemporary. Most recently you probably know the Market from its incarnations at Community Brewing Company, you've also seen it take place on various streets throughout the Design District but this time they're partnering with the Contemporary for an indoor/outdoor market.
The dumpster pool will of course be outside and yes, it is actually a dumpster. Progressive Waste Solutions is providing a clean dumpster which DC and the Market will fill with water for a refreshing and creative way to cool off in the host summer sun. Live music will be happening throughout the day and visitors will be able to peruse goods from local artists, jewelers, home stores, vintage boutiques and more. Drinks are free and food trucks will be standing by for snacks. The best part? The event is absolutely free.
