Nammi Food Truck Rolls into the Dallas Design District

Nammi Truck

Architects turned food truck aficionados Teena Nguyen and Gary Torres are returning to their old stomping ground with their new Vietnamese food truck concept Nammi Truck. Nammi Truck is the brainchild of Teena who took convinced her brother to let her use his catering truck which was sitting unused for a “side project.” Teena’s side project has turned from a hobby to a full-time gig and tomorrow she’ll be open for business in Lower Oak Lawn — an area she knows well from her former job as an architect.

Bánh mì from Nammi Food Truck Dallas“Vietnamese food is my comfort food,” Teena explains. “I am excited to share a piece of my culture with Dallas.”

On the menu for the next two days is their signature dish bánh mì. Bánh mì is a traditional Vietnamese sandwich, made on a baguette and filled with your choice of meat, cucumbers, fresh mayo and a pickled daikon and carrot medley. They’ll also be serving Teena’s Texas take on a Vietnamese tac0 which includes red cabbage, carrots, sweet potato medley and your choice of meat and several special sauces. Spring rolls and fresh basil mint lemonade will round out the menu.
