Tile Tuesday: White Done Right

Tile Tuesday: Qatar Tile by Porcelanosa

White is quickly becoming one of my new favorite colors in home decor. In fact, my mom just helped me give an old chair new life with a couple quick coats of white spray paint! I’m convinced that when done right, a bright white can make as much of a color statement as red, yellow or turquoise. My new infatuation with all things white led me to select Porcelanosa’s Qatar Nacar tile as this week’s Tile Tuesday pick.

Based on the name, I would guess that the rolling waves in the tile were inspired by the rippling sands of the desert of Qatar. It reminds me of the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico where the white “sand” is actually finely ground gypsum. (Isn’t that an awesome pic?!)

This tile gives off a very zen-like vibe, making it a great choice for a calming bathroom retreat!
